So sorry to hear of her passing. My grandmother Mary Hutchings nee Miller was Marie's dad's sister. So she was my Dad's first cousin. (Donald Hutchings) My dad is born in the same year. I would have loved to hear some of the early stories Marie had growing up. They have seen so much. RIP

Marie was a wonderful neighbour. Not once, but twice she stopped in to let us know our chimney was on fire. But more importantly she was a dear friend. We admire her independent spirit and joyfulness. A wonderful person, our thoughts and condolences are with her family.

When I was a child, Marie was the first adult I made friends with on my own, separate from my parents. Mrs. Jordan meant a lot to me. I looked up to her. She was the best, kindest, most fun bus driver of all time. As an adult we still kept in touch. Once when I was living in Montreal I called her on her birthday and she was so tickled to get greetings from a big city far away. Finding joy in small things, such a lovely quality. I love you Mrs. Jordan. My condolences to her whole family.

Marie was a lovely, kind lady who cared deeply for her family and friends. Her friendship and kindness were freely shared with our aunt Velma Blanchard and mother Lorna Newsome, both of whom thought the world of her. They enjoyed each others' company immensely and Marie was always there for them when needed. She touched many lives within her community in a very positive way and will be missed by all those who knew her. Our sincere condolences to all of Marie's family at this sad time.

Hands down one of the best bus drivers the Bay Road kids ever had in what was formerly called South Elmsley Township. Although we had a shared bus stop, Mrs. Jordan always dropped us at our door when faced with inclement weather. A gentle way about her and always greeted you with a smile. My sincere condolences to her family.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I only met her a couple of times but it was a delight. She visited my Mother Viola Lawson and they would stroll down memory lane of there times together growing up in Frankville. May she rest in peace now.

Sincere condolences to Marie’s family. Marie was one of the First Lady bus drivers I knew from Lombardy school. She was always smiling and laughing and I admired her immensely. She treated all of the kids at Lombardy school like they were her own. We were all a close knit school back in the day, I’m so glad to see that Marie lived a long life. What a blessing for her family.

, My Mother,
she was the strongest person i have ever known, when my father died, she laid over top of me that night crying wondering how we would survive, i didn't know, but said we will be alright, from then on she went from a house wife to a bus driver, a councillor, high up in federation of agriculture and full time farmer. She was in the newspaper for the first woman farmer in the area. We didn't have too many toys growing up, so mother made us machine guns to play cops and robbers, one of her best friends Gladie and Wanita Linton had two boys who came out from town and played with us, hence Dale OPP detective and Dennis in Kingston Pen, maybe had something to do with the guns. Farming, we had a bull that kept getting out, she said if he gets out once more, she is going to shoot him, hence beef in the freezer. Mother didn't have any grandsons until my sister had triplets, one being William, which she adored, thought he looked like my father Francis, loved the girls extremely also, but there was a little glimmer in her eyes when William would show up, then along came her great grandson Miles, well he had a 95 year old woman on the floor playing with him, he kept her on her toes, running to her room every time he was there, GG lets play. Chainsaws, it was like she won the lottery when small electric chainsaws came out, my husband Steve would go up for coffee everyday, and come home saying, your old lady is going to kill herself with that.chainsaw. She loved working with wood, and her bird houses were amazing, and if there are saws up there, she is probably cutting something. I LOVE you Mother, as the rest of us do, so fly fast and high, God Speed.
