Obituary of Kathryn Esther Coutts
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kathryn “Kaye” Coutts on February 11th, 2024 at Lanark Lifestyles after a 4 year battle with dementia. The love of her life Murray predeceased her in November of 2021 after 68 years of marriage. Kaye was the loved & respected mother of Douglas (Jo-Anne), David and Paul (Danita) Coutts. She was the adored grandmother of Brock (Sylvia), Drew (Brandi), Spenser (Lesley), Katie and Sharie (Aki), and the beloved great grandma to Bria, Brinley, Fallon & Raelynn. Kaye is survived by her brother Ron Duncan, her sister Betty Jean (Peter) McLaughlin, and sisters-in-law Audrey Coutts and Theresa Duncan. She was predeceased by her brother Allie Duncan, Sister Phyllis McLellan and by her brothers-in-law Ivan McLellan, Jack Coutts and Allan Coutts.
Kaye was a lifelong farming partner of the Coutts’ Family Farm and a long-standing member of Bethel United Church in Rideau Ferry as well as the treasurer of the Church for many years.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 15th, 2024, at 10:30am. Interment at Rideau Ferry Cemetery. In honour of Kaye, memorial contributions to the Bethel United Church or Rideau Ferry Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
