Publow, Mary Evelyn

At Extendicare Stoneridge Manor in Carleton Place, Evelyn passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in her 91st year. She was predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Anna (Harrington) Murphy and in 2010 by her husband and best friend, Arthur Publow.  Evelyn was the cherished mother of Robert Publow (Perth) and Maryanne (John) Burns of Carleton Place; Nannie to Matthew (Jessie) Burns (Stittsville) and Michaela Burns (Stittsville) and Great Nannie to Cohen, Casey and Brody Burns.  She was the sister of Patricia Murphy and late Rita Paquette, Edna Coutts, Helen Sterr and Doris Paquette.  Evelyn will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews of the Publow and Murphy families. 
Evelyn’s family would like to thank Dr. Drake, nurse Shebin and the rest of the nursing/PSW staff of Extendicare, Stoneridge Manor for the care they provided. 
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street W, Perth on Sunday April 21st 2024 from1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Johns Church, Perth Monday April 22nd, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. Interment, St. Johns Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Blair & Son Family Centre.
In remembrance, in lieu of flowers contributions to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation, MRI Campaign  or the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
