Richardson, Eunice Marjorie (nee Buchan)

Eunice died peacefully on April 27, 2024, on her 93rd birthday at Peter D. Clark Long-Term Care Home in Ottawa. Eunice was predeceased in 2012 by her beloved husband of 61 years, Rev. Dr. George Richardson.  Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother of Gwendolyn Richardson of Grande Prairie, Alberta, and her family Alina (Shaun) and their children Cash and Journey, and Joselyn, Joyce (Jake) Edwards of Columbus, Ohio and their son Kevin, Gloria Meunier of Toronto and her family Nathan (Rachel) and their daughter Alicia, and Christina, Ruth Richardson (Grant) of Stittsville and Suier Richardson of Oshawa and her family Julia (Tyler) and their son Miles, and Alex. 
Eunice was born and raised in Almonte to James and Annie Buchan. She is predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Vera Foster (Boyd), Florence Weber (Reggie Salmon, Dewaine Weber), Isabel Crampton (Garfield Crampton & Gordon Mackey), Jean Scott (Arthur Stewart & Clarence Scott), Donald Buchan (Marjory), Harold Buchan (Lottie) and Lois Morrow (Archie Scott and Norman Morrow). 
Eunice loved gardening, was an excellent cook, and enjoyed needlework and other crafts.  She will be especially remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Eunice will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, the members of St. Paul's Church, the Y&R and UCW, and by her long-time neighbour and dear friend Prim Paruboczy, as well as many others whose lives she has touched with her kindness, smile, an open arms of loving support.    
We wish to thank the compassionate and dedicated staff at Peter D. Clark Long-Term Care Home for the loving care they provided Eunice for the past 10 years, and to the staff at the Arnprior Villa for the care they previously offered to Eunice and George.  
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Sunday, May 12th, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in St. Paul's United Church, Perth (25 Gore St. W., Perth, Ontario) on Monday, May 13th, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with reception to follow. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Perth. 

Eunice's immediate family will be gathering for a "Celebration of Life" this summer in the Toronto area.  

To honour Eunice's commitment to her beloved church, donations will be gratefully received in her memory by St. Paul's United Church, Perth.
