Obituary of Mark Girdwood
Mark passed away peacefully at the Perth Hospital on Sunday, May 19th, 2024 at the age of 57. He leaves behind to mourn his parents Dawson and Betty Girdwood, his brothers David (Anna) and Scott (Tracey) his nephew James and Niece Crystal. He will be fondly remembered by many cousins, extended family and friends.
Mark’s life work was as a motorcycle mechanic, in which he found great pleasure and was extremely talented. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, camping and especially backpacking in Algonquin Park with his family. He had the pleasure of living across Canada, namely B.C., Alberta, and Ontario. He loved his work, his hobbies and his family.
A living celebration of Mark’s life took place in February of this year. The family want to thank everyone who came out to attend. You made the day very special and unforgettable.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Seaby, the nurses of the Perth Hospital - 2nd Floor, the homecare and palliative care team for all their care, compassion, and support.
