Peacefully at Lanark Lodge, Perth on Monday May 27, 2024 Lila (Charlton) Blair in her 94th year.  Dear mother of Rick (Wendy) and Brad (Sandra) of Perth.  Much loved grandmother to Bronwyn (Mike) Bell, McKenzie (Kelsey) Stoddard, Nathan (Sarah), Nigel (Nicole), Nicholas (Brianne) and Nolan Blair, great grandmother of Cohan and Hilary Bell, Liam Stoddard, and Ellie and Lilah Blair.

Mother will be missed by her  brother-in-law Keith, many nieces and nephews and friends.  She is predeceased by her husband of  52 years, Donald R. Blair, her infant daughter Trudy, and her sisters  Edith McOuatt, Anna Blair, Eva Purdon and Vera Truelove.

Lila was born in Maberly  the youngest daughter to John Charlton and Elizabeth England.  Her younger years were spent on the farm and in the village.  She eventually moved to Perth and lived in a rooming house shared with her sister Vera.  Here she worked at Codes Felt  until she met the love of her life and was married October 4th, 1948.  They moved to Timmins for four years and moved back to Perth where they lived, worked and raised their family.  Lila was employed at Blair Enterprises and managed the P.D.C.I.  cafeteria for 31 years.  Many will remember their favourite foods from their high school days.  She truly enjoyed cooking, music, dancing and the trips her and dad were able to take.  After retirement they loved to spend a couple months each year in Florida with family and many good friends.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at Lanark Lodge for the excellent care she received over the past nine years.  A private funeral will be held, with interment next to her beloved husband Don, at Zealand United Cemetery.  Anyone  wishing to make a donation in Lila's memory are asked to consider Lanark Lodge Memorial Fune or the Canadian Cancer Society.
