Karen, Ed and all the McRae families: What a great photo choice of your Mom! -Marie and I have enjoyed many giggles and laughs -shared a few tearful moments - collectively reminisced of days gone by. There were many “goodmornings” and “goodnights” always ending with a warm hug and “now, drive safely dear.” Her lovely smile, twinkling eyes ( sometimes full of mischief), engaging personality and sharp wit were all part and parcel of the lady I grew to respect and adore. So fortunate to have Marie (Ree) come into my life and her memory will stay with me always. Heather ❤️

The Whiten family have some great memories of Marie growing up in Atoronto. Sitting under the apple tree while she was babysitting Kim and I, when my folks were at work. My older sisters being friends with Sharon and Cathy. Lots of stories to tell. I even got the chance to catch up with Cynthia and Karen while I worked at the Lodge. Then Marie moved in at I was able to care for her on the Evergreens. Marie said to me look at this Brent I looked after you when you were five and now you are looking after me, full circle. I just want to extend our deepest sympathies to the McRae family.

Heaven has gained a very special Angel as she was a very Special Angel here on Earth all her time here.We have so many wonderful memories of the many visits throughout the years,from the times of her and dad sitting here chatting and how we learned about our families history and the history of our community and the many visits since Dads passing both here and whenever we saw each other.She was a strong lady with the biggest heart ❤️and smile and show so much care and love for her family and friends.We could write a book dedicated to this special lady on how she had enriched our life and will cherish our precious memories.Our deepest condolences and prayers to all her family,Susie,Donna and families.

Dear McRae Family, Mrs.McRae ( how I always addressed her since my childhood) was a kind, compassionate, strong, delightful Lady with a great sense of humour. She was a wonderful Neighbour to our Family and caring Friend to our Mom. The last couple years Mrs.McRae and our Mom, shared many a laugh over the dining room table they shared at Lanark Lodge.
