We just learned of Dave's passing from another RBC-retiree in London. Sincere condolences to Laurie & family. We lived in Burlington during the 80's & I carpooled with Dave to downtown Toronto..... career moves took us to other parts of Ontario; and we lost touch; but thought of Dave often.....he was a great guy. Angie, Ashley & all of the Lawrence family, please accept our sincere condolence's in Dave’s passing, our hearts are broken. Dave was a dear friend to both of us & he was also my boss…a hat very few can toggle but our Dave mastered it perfectly. His hard work ethic was contagious, he was knowledgable, genuinely cared about people, & had an open door concept. All too often you hear,” he was one of the good ones”, in regards to Dave this phrase describes him perfectly. Be it in the golf foursome, a dinner party, the pub or a couples trip to his beloved Newfoundland he always made you feel welcome and included. We are so very sorry at the passing of our friend Dave. He was a kind and thoughtful man who cared deeply for his friends and family. He was a natural entertainer and was the life of any party. We were so saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Our condolences and blessings to all his beautiful family. He was a great friend and we will cherish our memories of our trips to Ireland and St. John's Newfoundland together. Dave was the best story teller and could make us all laugh till our sides hurt.
