Dear Lisa and family,
Appropriately enough, my husband just found out about your loss at a Smiths Falls Bears game. We are terribly sorry.
Marshall coached our son Charlie so we got to know him as a very kind, thoughtful person committed to the players who looked up to him so much. It was a privilege to know him.
God bless you.

Lisa and Family: I have nothing but fond memories of Marshall, dating back to the years he proudly worked as a summer student with our Parks and Recreation Department. He was not only a gifted athlete, but was a natural Leader who ( later in life ) I relied upon from time to time, for his opinion on controversial issues our Department was confronting. He was always understanding and supportive. God Bless !

Dear Lisa and family,
I just wanted to pass along my most sincere condolences and heart felt prayers at this time. Marshall was just a super great guy, a friend to me and my brother no matter what, especially playing with the Brockville Street hockey gang as kids.
He was an inspiration for me to be a better hockey player. I had the good fortune of playing on his line in midget while playing hockey in Smiths Falls.
Marshall will be so sorely missed by all, and in our thoughts, from all those wonderful days growing up... just down the street in Smiths Falls. Truly a blessing for me to have known him.
Sincerely,
Dean Noonan

Our deepest condolences to you Lisa and all the Hogan and related families.
Marshall recently rekindled some fond stories and high school events while sharing many laughs at a dinner within his Settlers Square apartment building. His kindness and humour will be remembered by all.
Marshall will be sadly missed by many of all ages, although his bright spirit energy will shine through when you continue to keep him in thought and conversations.
Sending heartfelt thoughts and prayers.

Lisa, Kyle, Keenan and all of his extended family and many friends and teammates, Mary and I extend our deepest sympathies on your loss. I was older than Marshall but very aware of his athletic prowess and accomplishments, both on the ice and the ball diamond. We did witness first-hand his care and concern for all the players that he coached in minor hockey in Smiths Falls. Our boys were the beneficiaries of that dedication to the youth in our town.

So sad to learn of Marchall’s (Doc’s) passing. We had a great visit with Doc at my Dad’s funeral just over a year ago. It was so nice to reminisce with Marshall about old times growing up in Smiths Falls and the many road trips with various sports teams, travelling the valley to compete in tournament after tournament. Our sincere condolences to all Marshall’s family.
Sincerely,
Kieth & Bette Holbrook

Lisa and boys,
I’m sorry to hear of Marsh passing. He touched many lives and will be missed. Your love and that of his sisters and family will help you through this difficult time. I reflect to Aberdeen Street and the carefree times of road hockey where we honed our skills, and Leo showing Ronnie how to throw a curve ball to Marshall who was catching on the sidewalk in front of the house. I am grateful to have so many memories with Marshall as friend and teammate and many others do too. fY
