Obituary of Emelline Christena Warren

Warren, Emelline Christena nee Sergeant

March 5, 1943 - September 6, 2024

Emelline passed away peacefully on Friday September 6th, 2024 at Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Perth site with family at her bedside.  She was the loving wife to the late Victor Allen Warren who passed away in 2019. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Marjorie (Miller) Sergeant and her brothers Stanley and Forest, her sister-in-law Carol-Anne Segeant, her brother-in-law Edward Warren and her four  nephews Greg, Jeff, Jim and John Sergeant. 

Emelline was the loving mother of Danita (Paul) Coutts, Daphne (Patrick) Eves and Dannette.  She was an adoring grandmother to Katie, Sharie (Aki), Melissa (Ty) Ott and Michelle (Andrew) Brady and great-grandmother to Paisley, Madelynne and Anson. She is survived by her brother Earl Sergeant and her sister Florence (Sergeant) Warren.  She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Patricia (Donnelly) Sergeant and Lorna (Patterson) Sergeant.  Emelline will be greatly missed by nephews, nieces, other extended family members and friends and neighbours.

Emelline will always be remembered for her desire to make sure everyone was well fed at family gatherings.  She especially liked baking, and a number of people will greatly miss her butter tarts.

Emelline's family would like to extend sincere thanks to all the doctors, nurses and support staff in the ICU of the Perth site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.

Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Thursday, September 12th, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel on Friday, September 13th,  2024 at 10:00 am. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre.  Interment, Oso Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to the Cancer Centre at the Ottawa Hospital (General Site) or Oso Cemetery in Emelline's name would be greatly appreciated.
