Eileen passed away unexpectedly in hospital in Ottawa on Friday September 6th, 2024 at the age of 81 years. She was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Vera (Doran) Wark and her siblings Leita (Irwin) Watt, John (Edith) and Raymond (Margaret) Wark. She was the cherished mother of Michael and Kimberly Burke, dear partner of Jerry Cardinal, devoted grandmother of Shea, Isaiah, Alinea and Lilly and sister of Florence (late Tom) Ling and Leonard Wark. Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours in Perth and surrounding communities. She loved spending time with her family and friends, walking around town, drives in the country, shopping, tea time and her cat Mike. She was dedicated to helping people in the community through her many years spent working as a PSW then volunteering in different capacities. Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed by her loved ones.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Tuesday September 10th, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday September 11th, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Interment, Hopetown Cemetery. Those wishing to honour Eileen with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Autism Society or The Table Community Food Centre, Perth. Eileen’s family wishes to offer special thanks to the Ottawa Civic Emergency and Neurology Departments for their care and compassion.
