From myself, the Board of Directors, and Members of the Friends of La Vase Portages.
Glenn was an active Director for us since 2011, and gave his time and assistance whenever he could.
He was instrumental in getting the City of North Bay to work with us on a shared vision of public support and access to the historical La Vase Portages within the city limits.

Glenn was always keen to help young planners learn and succeed. I was lucky enough to get a job in the summer of 1976 working for and with Glenn in Kirkland Lake. He was always kind, patient and wise in his guidance and direction as we navigated the challenges of trying to integrate Chaput Hughes into the urban fabric of Kirkland Lake. Because of Glenn, I met my life partner Terry who just happened to work for the Town Engineer and we’ve been married coming up 44 years this Thanksgiving! Glenn loved life and savoured every moment. To all of his family and friends our deepest condolences; we were all very lucky to have spent time with such a fine human being. Rick & Terry Quail, Okotoks, Alberta.

I was so very upset today to hear of the sudden passing of Glenn. Hard to believe that I worked with him over 16 years ago at his firm in North Bay and Perth.
Glenn leaves a lasting professional legacy across Northern and Eastern Ontario; everyone knew Glenn, if not personally than at least in name. He used to say that he worked in every municipality across these two large regions. And he basically did, by driving some sort of vehicle, car or winnebago, to each of them for various amounts of time. He certainly had his ways.
I learned a lot from Glenn and he shaped me as a planner. I don't think I'd be where I am without his support and for that, I'm forever grateful.
Thinking of the whole family and wishing you the best of support.

Glenn has been a loving partner for my sister Linda. We remember his excitement to cycle on the the Tour de France race course when they joined my husband and I in France. Anticipating a leisurely afternoon, Linda was just sitting down to her lunch when she was surprised to see him racing by the restaurant window to the finish. One of the most memorable experiences on that trip was kayaking under the Pont du gard near Uzes.
He will be missed by family, friends and all the wildlife he so lovingly cared for.

So deeply sorry to hear of Glenn's passing.
We knew each other as fellow directors on the Board of the CIP-PSTF Planning Student's Trust Fund (2019 to 2022). We also shared a second common interest in Papineau-Cameron Ontario, where I have a property and he was responsible as the town planner. I also appreciated his professional focus on small and rural town planning in Ontario - showing me that consulting work with that very focus is possible.
His passion for the planning profession will be greatly missed.
