Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Richmond
99 Years of a Beautiful Life
Peacefully at Granite Ridge Community Care Centre in the early morning of September 17th, 2024, Mary took flight gracefully into the next dimension. She was the only daughter of the late George B. Couch and Joan Urquhart Beedie and spoiled for life by her brothers, the late Donald, (Florence), Richard (Florence M.) and George H. Couch (Faye) and beloved best cousin of Marion (Couch) Montgomery of Georgetown. She lived most of her lifetime on the Second Line of Drummond or in Perth - save for the wartime years where she supported the cause by working in the Alcan plant in Kingston while her beau was overseas. Mary was the beloved wife for 55 years of Eldon Richmond, (d. 2001) her childhood neighbour and sweetheart. Treasured mother of Mary Joan Brule of Richmond, Linda Chaplin (Robert) as well as David and Susan (Bill McNulty). She was the beloved Grandmother to Paul Brule and his children Robyn (Brian Amm) and Conor Brule , Anna Marie Clarke (Richard) and their children Leah and Rory Clarke, Sandy Brule-Carter (Chris) and their children Olivia, Wyatt and Abby Carter, Christopher Chaplin (Star) and their children Ethan and Chloe Chaplin, Molly Mahon (Josh) and their children Rosemary and Jett, Peter McNulty (Amanda) and their children Max and Maren. Daniel Richmond and Jacob Richmond., 13 Great-Grandchildren and 1 brand-new Great-Great Grandchild (Easton Amm). Mary loved dozens of kids who adored her in return and are too numerous to fit on our list.
