Obituary of Pierre Lemoyne
PIERRE LEMOYNE, 1947-2024
As always, surrounded by the love of his family and his devoted wife and soulmate of 56 years, Jadzia (Jadwiga Pask), Pierre Lemoyne succumbed to a hard-fought battle with cancer. His loss will be forever felt by his daughter Nicole (Priatel), son-in-law Mark and beloved granddaughter Miranda, of whom he was immensely proud. In death, as well as in his life, he will be welcomed by Stanley and Bernise Pask, the mother and father-in-law who loved him as their son.
He is predeceased by his mother Pierrette and father Roger (Yvonne), and Bun. He leaves behind his sister Mimi (Wolf), her sons Patrick and David and their families, his brother Paul (Lynn) and children Stephanie, Kristine, Jason and Justin and their families, Henia (Bill) Hull and her family as well as countless friends around the world, especially in Smiths Falls, Poland and Tokyo.
He had a long and enjoyable career in engineering, sales, and marketing, from Smiths Falls’ Guildline Instruments to Ottawa’s International Datacasting, which took him from ocean depths to weightless flights; from mountaintops to satellites; and countless cities and countries around the world.
He will be sorely missed by the local Amateur Radio Club and the many friends he found there.
VE3 FLO is now a silent key.
In lieu of flowers or donations, his family wishes you to take some time to embody Pierre’s spirit – tell your family every day how much they mean to you, travel, laugh often and enjoy the hobbies which bring you joy. If you must, give to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital. He would also like to pay tribute to his loving wife and constant companion, Jadzia, without whose fierce support and love his final days, weeks and months would not have been filled with the love they were. Let’s all hold her in our loving arms, as he did from the day they met until he drew his last breath lying next to her. Pierre, Dad, Grandpa - you will be lovingly remembered and missed every day.
