Obituary of Lawrence Franklin Turnbull
Passed peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Monday, October 21, 2024 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Eveyln (Noonan), treasured father of Kevin (Jacqueline) Turnbull, Wendy (Pete) Armstrong, and Cheryl (Danny) Powers. Poppa will be dearly missed by his 8 grandchildren: Jeremy (Kari), Riley (Sarah), Michaela, Madison, Adrianna, Alexa, Darragh, and Caleb. Larry was a devoted brother to his twin, Garnet (Muriel) Turnbull, sisters Diane (Keith) Murphy and Susan (Doug) Norman, and brothers Robert (Darlene) and Philip (Teresa) Turnbull. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Gwen (Thompson) Turnbull, and sister Sylvia “Sib” Conboy. Memories of Larry will be treasured by his many nieces and nephews, and extended family. Larry will forever be remembered for his deep faith, ardent love for family and friends, kind heart, words of wisdom, quick wit, intellect, ability to fix anything, and love of the outdoors and farming.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Philip-Neri’s Building Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.
Friends and family are invited to a “Celebration of Life” on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Toledo, with a sharing of memories commencing at 1 pm.
