Obituary of Jean Willows

Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital following a brief illness on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the age of 75.  Beloved wife and best friend to Gordon.  Loving and cherished mother to Jeanna Marie.  She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Joan (Keith) Cassell, Nancy (late Gerald) Cordick, Michael (Diann) Carroll and Lenore (Arthur) Willows.  Jean was also predeceased by her parents Francis Joseph and Marguerite Mary (nee Wood) Carroll and brother Stephen Carroll.  She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Marie (late Stephen) Carroll, Beverly (Archie) Simmonds, and her brothers-in-law Carman (late Emma) Willows and Herbert Willows. Jean will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and her many friends.  She will also be warmly remembered by the many colleagues she had over her 52-year career at the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario. Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday at 11 o'clock.  Private interment will take place at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery at a later date.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to CHEO or the St. Francis de Sales CWL.
