Obituary of Norman Louis Raymond
Obituary for Norman Raymond
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norm, a beloved husband, father, papa, and friend, who left us peacefully on January 19, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout his fight, he displayed unwavering strength, resilience, and a determination that inspired all who knew him.
Norm is survived by his wife Marian, two daughters Lisa (Murray), Tanya and grandchildren Brandon, Nicolas and Charlotte. Norm came from a family of 13 siblings.
Norm was a true outdoorsman, with a passion for fishing that brought him peace and joy. Whether casting a line at his favorite spot or spending time with family and friends in nature, he found contentment in the simple pleasures of life. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he took great pride in his role as a devoted husband, father, and papa. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them, sharing stories, laughter, and countless memories. A generous and kind-hearted man, Norm was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, especially repairing vehicles, motors and anything that needed to be fixed, assembled or built from scratch. His selflessness and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character. He had an innate ability to make those around him feel seen and valued, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. Though he has left us far too soon, his legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to the Terry Fox Foundation : https://terryfox.org/ways-to-give/ and/or the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program (Perth): https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/donate
Rest in peace, Normie, dad, daddio, papa . Your love and light will continue to guide us.
