Murchland, Ken Ken passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in hospital, Ottawa following a brief illness on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the age of 76. Beloved husband and best friend for over 46 years of the late Carole Murchland. Much loved and respected father of Kerri Murchland Clements (Jake) and Penni Murchland. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jaxson Wells and Thomas and Sera Clements. Loved brother of Carolyn Doucette and Mary Brake. Brother-in-law of Ronald (the late Marlene) Short. Sadly missed by nephews Darren Doucette, Kenny Brake, Jeffrey (Amanda) Brake, Brian (Diana) Hambly, Gayle (the late Joe) Foster, Kathy Kelly, Lee-Anne (Bruce) Paterson, Braden Short (Mark Lawrence), great-nephew Thomas Kelly, cousins, extended family and friends. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service in celebration of Ken's life will be held in the Blair & Son Chapel on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Ken, donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or the Heart & Stoke Foundation would be appreciated.
