MEMORIES OF OUR MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER CECILE YVONNE PILON-SKILLEN JANUARY 14TH, 2012 Mom's obituary appeared in this week's paper and provided her family history. Our family would like to share our personal tribute to our Mother. You were always one of the most essential parts of our world. You took our hands when we were little to show us the way. How do you thank someone who provided love, strength and support so we could become the people we are today. We hope this tribute does Mom and we hope we have inherited some of your wisdom and strength. You lived your life for love of your family and friends and neither looked for or expected a return.. You gave us your heart...your very soul and your understanding never wavered though sometimes the ice was pretty thin. You dried our tears and led us to the path of God's love from Baptism to Confirmation. You washed our clothes and cleaned our home and instilled confidence in your children. You walked us to school and loved us as no other could. You never forgot our special occasions growing up and you protected us as a lionness protects her cubs. You supported our Father and scrimped and saved for our daily needs at one time in our lives. You were always the last to eat and the first to rise. You placed your family before yourself and your eyes would shine when you heard the words, "I love you Mom". You could see the good in us and taught us to never, never give up. You instilled in us to be better and made us believe we could accomplish anything in life but we had to work for it. You taught us to be responsible and accountable. Thank you for the gift of life and for giving us the courage and values to live that life. Mother, you will always remain in our hearts, in our deeds, in our thoughts, in our lives and in our prayers. You will live on in the sparkle in our eyes, ever laughing, quiet, gentle, loving and wise. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. He put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched and saw you pass away. Although we loved you deeply, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. This was your eulogy from your children...We love you.
