I am saddened to hear of Joanne's passing. Although it has been many years since we have seen each other I still have fond memories of the "new" girl. We became friends in high school and Joanne was always a kind and trustworthy soul. I wish we had reconnected, I miss her quiet disposition and the fun we had. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We are truly saddened by Joanne's passing. It is because of her encouragement and tenacity that our daughter was able to set foot on a stage and perform for the first time 4 years ago. It was a moment that Joanne referred to often. She was Emily's biggest fan and her greatest critic - always a teacher!
She will be missed by many.
Our sincere condolences to Scott, her family and her friends.

Scott I am sorry for your loss.
It was with great interest as I watched Joanne teach my step-kids Skylar and Brandon and succeed at winning their adoration and respect for just being a great teacher. It is wonderful how a teachers thoughts and ideas are carried forward throughout the remainder of our childrens lives. Much like us when we went to Carleton Place High School.
Her legacy will live on through all the students and people that she has touched.

I was saddened to hear of Joanne's death..I knew her best from theatrical circles. We sang together in more than one PCC production. There was a memorable summer of Ladies night golf and board meetings at the Studio Theatre in its earlier days. It's hard to fathom the passing of someone like her, in her prime. I'm so glad she found love and contentment in her last years.. She deserved it.
She was a committed teacher who demanded the best from her students. And she got it.
There's an Irish saying that goes something along the line of "We'll not see the likes of her in these parts again" Rest in peace, Joanne.
Fondly
Siobhan

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joanne's family at this time. She was a dedicated teacher and had a heart for teaching. She will be sadly missed at Glen Tay. She had a unique talent in Arts and wanted the best for many students that she offered her spare time to let them shine and complete their work when needed. Her memory will live on by the ones she touched so dearly.
