McConnell, Gordon L. Suddenly at his home on Friday, May 18, 2012 Gordon L. McConnell (life long farmer, retired owner of McConnell Bus Lines, retired Director and Past President of Lanark Mutual Insurance Company) at the age of 77. Dearly loved husband of Shirley (McVeigh) McConnell and cherished dad of Bruce McConnell and his partner Amy Gillan. Predeceased by his parents Marjorie (Moodie) and John Everett McConnell, his sister Lois Scott and brothers Arnold and Murray McConnell. He will be sadly missed by his brother Howie (Carm), sisters Hilda (Willis) Cleary and Lorna (Bob) Hobbs, brother-in-law Fred Scott, many nieces, nephews, family and good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W Perth on Monday, May 21st, 2012 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation, The Alzheimer Society of Lanark County or St. Paul's United Church would be appreciated.
