read and will be sadly missed. I grew up with the Ritchie family
and know that Mark was a great older brother. He is now with
the Lord and free of pain. My mom, Pauline Covell, enjoyed the
brief encounters with Mark when he delivered Meals on Wheels
to her and my dad. My parents and my thoughts are with you in

This is a Tribute to my Big Brother who endured a life of hardship from his birth until he met his wife Gail who loved, nurtured and cared for him until his death.
Mark was a natural when it came to sports especially excelling at Bowling. He loved kids and life in general; volunteering at many community events. We always called Mark a survivor as he always managed to beat all odds when it came to living with nothing. God sure looked after him just like he looks after the sparrows. Mark lived in the now not worrying about what tomorrow might hold. He probably took you for granted, but that was part of the survival technique. Mark's greatest asset was his Heart of Gold and you could not put a price on that! It's hard to believe I will not hear his laugh any more but I will cherish his memory till we meet again on the other side.
