Smyth, Margaret Caroline (nee Saunders) March 8, 1922 ~ August 6, 2012 Margaret passed away in hospital in Perth, from complications following a stroke. She was the loved and loving daughter of the late Jim and Jewel Saunders and sister of the late Al Saunders. She is survived by her brother Bob (Shirley) and by her sister Jean Creighton. Margaret is also survived by her five children, Anne Smyth, David (Yvonne), Mary Pelton, Chuck and Jean (Paul) Healey; her grandchildren Krista, Kerry-Anne, Jason (Jackie) and Jessica; and her great grandchildren Sydney, James, Max and Jaxson. Margaret loved children, and they returned that love. A gifted craftsperson and folk artist, her creations are cherished by all who received them as gifts. She was also a fine musician, and the longtime organist and choir director at Balderson United Church, whose congregation mourns her passing. All who knew Margaret are welcome to attend the visitation to be held at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Sunday, August 12th, 2012 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in Balderson United Church on Monday at 1:30 P.M. followed by a reception in the Friendship Hall in celebration of a life truly well lived. In remembrance, contributions to the Balderson United Church would be appreciated.
