Miller, Reta Madeline Dec. 22, 1917 ~ August 6, 2013 Peacefully at Lanark Lodge, Perth on Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her loving husband Donald in 1982 and her parents Ernest and Annie (McCutcheon) Leeson. Special friend to Anne Graham and Aunt Reta to Ron (Linda) Miller of Toronto, Bruce (Carol) Miller of Calgary and Lynda Williamson of North Bay. Reta grew up in Havelock. She and Don were married after WWII and moved to Lanark where they operated the 5 Cent to a Dollar store for almost 40 years. Reta was a valued volunteer at Maple Grove School, the Lanark Era and Lanark Lodge. She drove until she was 92 and enjoyed a busy life of travelling, playing bridge, square dancing, Tai Chi and studying French. A special thank you to the staff at Lanark Lodge for their care and devotion to Reta. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Saturday, August 10th, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 2:00 P.M. immediately followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Interment will be held privately in Maple Grove Cemetery, Havelock, Ontario. In remembrance, contributions to St. Paul's Anglican Church (cheques payable to Parish of Lanark-Maberly) or Lanark Lodge Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
