Mr. Kealey was my Grade 13 English teacher at Rideau High School in 1968-1969. He was an immense influence on me and inspired me to go on to get a degree in English Literature at Carleton University. His energetic love of literature was communicated to us every single day, and I will never forget him. My sincere condolences and prayers to his family and loved ones.

I had many sincere talks with Don about death during the years that I would meet him on the street or at various functions. I gave him a Bible on one occasion and he told me he was reading it. Don often told me that he had placed his faith in the finished work of Christ for him. Rest in peace with your Saviour, Don

Mr. Kealey was my favourite English teacher at Rideau High. He was so wonderful and positive and thought everything I wrote was terrific. He gave me confidence! He must have been such a wonderful grandpa.

My sincere condolences to the Kealey family. I remember Donald as my favourite, and a very popular English teacher at South Carleton High School in Richmond, Ontario in the late 1950's. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

I was lucky- I had Mr. Kealey for five straight years at Rideau- we all loved him. I know that it’s been quite a few years since then and since his passing- but I would like the world to know that he really meant something to his students. My passion for Shakespeare and Graham Greene, and Steinbeck and Fleming all come from him. Those authors live with me still today- nearly 40 years gone. i’ll Never forget you Mr. K.

High School Memories

On this, the first anniversary of Donald's death, I have fond memories of him, as my favourite English teacher, at South Carleton High School, in Richmond, Ontario, in the late 1950's. He made learning proper English fun and interesting. I now wear a t-shirt that reads: "GRAMMAR POLICE - To Serve and Correct" My thoughts and prayers are with the Kealey family on this difficult anniversary. Heather Lovett, Carleton Place, Ontario.
