My deepest sympathies, and condolences, to parents John, Else, and wife Amber ... I knew Chris and John and Else through the Air Cadet squadron in Smiths Falls, and although I've never met Amber, I'm sure that she's a good person ... As I remember him, Chris was a good, motivated, and hard working man ... Many will be missing him in the days to come ... Unfortunately, I cannot attend the visitation on Monday, please rest assured that my thoughts and hopes are with you all in your loss, and at this time of need ... My sincerest, David Smith

To: Amber, John, Else and Edith ---
It was indeed a shock to learn of the sudden passing of Chris, especially at such a young age. Our hearts and deepest feelings go out to you at this time.
We are away from the immediate area of Perth for a week's change of pace, and are so sorry that it is quite possible that we shall be unable to be with you at this time of sorrow.
I (the old guy) remember Chris as a very polite teenager and this politeness continued even when he attained his manhood. He was a willing worker as a Cadet and l know that this facet continued on after he graduated from the Squadron.
Mere words of condolence cannot assuage the loss of a loved one. Persons who suffer a loss can only continue on with beautiful memories.
Marilyn joins me in our thoughts for you at this time, and we shall be in contact with you at a later date.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear about Chris' passing. Even though we had lost touch over the past few years, I always considered him a friend. He could always make me laugh when I was feeling down and was a good man all the way around. If anyone needed anything at all, he was there-no matter what.
Unfortunately, I can't be at the wake or the funeral service but I will be thinking of you all in this time of need.
I will remember you always Chris-heaven has another angel that was taken far too soon.

John, my wife & I am truly saddened by your family's loss.
It is a terrible thing when anyone loses a loved one, but even more so when that person was making a difference by working with Canada's youth. The CIC lost a good officer and Chris will be missed but not forgotten.
