Dales, Margaret "Marty" (nee Murray) We are giving thanks to whomever and whatever you believe, in along with our belief in the strength of our family bonds. She led us, fed us and believed in us and we believed in her. Marty (Margaret Anne) Murray Dales left us on October 8th, 2018 to join her husband and kindred spirit Bob Dales. With grace and grit, without fear or regret, she passes her torch to Wendy the late Burt and their son Brad Alford; Tim, Donna, and their children Mark and Robin Dales; Rob, Mary Lynn, and their sons Chris and Behn Dales; Mary Lou, Dave, and their children Casey, Taylor and Riley White; Veronica and Glenn, and their children Mike, Jenny, Samantha Mahon, Laura and Catie Newans; Christa, Peter and their sons Morgan and Shannon Donnelly; Bill Dales; Todd, and his children Harper and Alex Dales. Also missing her are her grandchildren’s partners and GG’s 15 great grandchildren. As one of 11 children, Marty treasured her special relationships with her Murray and husband Bob’s 8 siblings, in the Dales family both those passed and present along, with her bond with sister Elaine Fisher. Mom did not want to be remembered by what she did but rather who she was….she meant a great deal to many people and if you are laughing right now…then you were special to her. God speed Mom. Friends are invited to gather at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her extraordinary life will take at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smiths Falls Hospital Foundation ~ Palliative Care Unit.
