My last memory of Edna was the bright twinkle in her eyes as she sat in her walker on the sidewalk while waiting for a cab. It was a time in my life I will never forget. We had come down to visit Stan and Edna, our boys quite young at the time (2 and 4), and I was excited for her to see her only grandson and two of her great grandsons. As circumstances prevented the meeting on our visit, God intervened and placed her on that sidewalk as we met Dave and Barb for our goodbye lunch. Stepping out of that van to see her glee and excitement as she laid eyes on her grandson and great grand sons, was truly amazing. I knew in that moment what a wonderful, beautiful soul she was. I wish we had been able to know more of her. Even though we didn’t know you well, Edna, you placed a blessing in our lives, your grandson Taryn. So thankful to you for creating life who will live on in your memory.
