Cornelia, Peter and family, Renate was a very special lady to us. She was like a grandmother to Michael and Jennifer as well as a wonderful friend to John's mom, Lois.We enjoyed our visits with her and the letters she exchanged with our children. Jennifer and Michael were in Smiths Falls and tried to visit Renate on Sunday afternoon only to hear from her neighbour, John, that she had passed away that morning. Renate had a loving, caring spirit and a genuine interest in us. We admired her spunk, her many talents and her love of life, nature and her family. Our family loved the constant sparkle in Renate's eyes and are deeply saddened by her passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. Treasure your memories!
