Vollmer, Renate S. H. Peacefully, at her residence on Sunday, January 1, 2012, Renate Susanne Hildegard Vollmer at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Rudolf Otto Vollmer. Loved mother of Peter (Cari) Vollmer of Minnesota and Cornelia Danis (Kevin Hamilton) of Toledo. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Meghann (Matt) Kruck, Kasie Vollmer and great-grandson Jackson Kruck. Sister-in-law of Trudel Siegmann of Germany. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Fondly remembered by her extended family and cousins in Germany and many good friends in Toronto, Germany and the Smiths Falls area. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls, on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, 41 Market St. N., Smiths Falls on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Maple Vale Cemetery at a later date. In remembrance, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (L. A. W. S.) would be appreciated.
