When I volunteered with the folks on Maples my spirits would be lifted up when I would see the light in Reta's eyes. It was one reason I enjoyed clowning in there for the residents.She and the other residents were always so appreciative of every little kind gesture towards them.
Reta will always live on in the hearts of many. She will be a bright star in the skies to help guide us on the right path.

To all of Rita's family,
We send our heartfelt condolences for your loss. I worked with Rita for years at PDCI before I realized she was also extended family!
There are so many words to describe her - kind, sincere, down-to-earth, helpful, hard-working, funny, easy-going..... a very likeable woman!
She will be greatly missed by all!

She was a great neighbour and friend when she was on Mather Street with us. I always enjoyed talking to her when she was walking her dog and she always stopped to talk to my Mom when she was out sitting on her front step I have always thought of her often since she moved. She will always be in my thoughts.

Dearest Reta/Nan, You are my shining 'ANGEL', Will always treasure our visits together talking about our children and how are day went. Your beautiful blue eyes glowed, your giggles were contagious. Enjoyed doing crafts together and sharing treats. Will miss you so much but will hold on to memories near and dear to the heart.

To Reta’s family, my heart broke a little today when I heard the news of Reta’s passing. I was lucky enough to be on Reta’s floor at PDCI. She was the absolute best. By the time she got to my room, the late afternoon sun would be streaming in the windows and she and I would have many conversations “solving all of the problems of the world”. My memories of those daily talks will be a part of me forever. She is dearly missed.
