Margie Ann McKinnon
Margie Ann went to her Heavenly Father on June 9, 2022 at the Smiths Falls site of the Perth & Smiths Falls Hospital. She loved her Lord, her church, her family, and her church community.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, she is predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Bernetta McKinnon, and by her brothers Richard, Aloysius, Elmer, and Brian.
She is survived by her sister-in-laws Alice McKinnon and Marilyn McKinnon and her nieces and nephews Rose Marie, Maria, Tom, Kent, Kreg, and Ryan McKinnon. And great nieces and nephews Michael, Laura, Timothy, David, Jonathan, Dianna, Konor, Lukas, Fischer, Curtis, Liam, and Shannon.
Margie Ann retired in 2016 after 23 years of service to The Archdiocese of Kingston as co-ordinator of the office of religious education. She continued to be very involved in her parish of St. Francis de Sales – Blessed Sacrament in many capacities including liturgy, and music. She also was a past president of the St. Francis de Sales – Blessed Sacrament council of the Catholic Women’s League.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 9:00 - 1030 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church, 17 Elmsley St. N, Smiths Falls at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at Hanley Hall.
Interment will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. In memory of Margie Ann, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis de Sales Building Fund.
