Dunlop, Erwin ‘Ding’ Lawson
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of our father Erwin Dunlop on Monday, February 27th, 2023 just two days before his seventy eighth birthday.
Ding will be remembered by his daughters Marcy , Angel and Amy (James). His grandchildren Mackenzie, Hunter, Lawson, Alexie and Leonie. Ding was predeceased by his sisters and brothers. O’Rita (late Bill) Duncan, Robert (Thelma) Dunlop, Alice (late Elmer) Yuill , Hazel (late Kenneth) King , Bill (Sandra) Dunlop, Doug (Rowena) Dunlop and his parents William Crossley and Margaret Edna (Gemmill) Dunlop. He will be remembered fondly by Lorna. Ding will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
He always had a smile and wave as he drove the highways of Lanark County delivering sand, gravel and machinery.
Ding’s passions were gardening, travelling and hunting. He always looked forward to spending time with his daughters and grandchildren at the cottage.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Friday, March 3rd, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Interment Prestonvale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations to Lanark Fish and Game or Lanark Legion would be appreciated.
