Hi Ron. It’s Anne Nagle writing to you. I only recently heard about Denise. I was so sad to hear that she passed away. It’s too bad that she had dementia and being adopted she had no medical history to be aware that that could happen. However she was really happy to be married to you and have an extended family.

I met Denise when I was a member of Ottawa city council and she was an impressive, clear-spoken, dedicated advocated for Youth Services Bureau and the youth, families and communities that YSB served. Years later, she would be on the selection committee that recommended my appointment as YSB's Executive Director. I always appreciated Denise's good humour, strong principles and commitment to helping others. She is part of the social fabric of our city.
My condolences to Denise's friends and family. May her memory be a blessing.

I had the privilege of knowing Denise through our years at St. John's and P.D.C.I. She had such a quick wit, a great sense of humour and was very kind. I can still hear her wonderful voice and her great laugh. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Dear Ron and family, sending my condolences to you all. Ron you were such a caring and devoted husband to Denise. I meet you folks while visiting with my mother (Madeline Burke) at Perth Community Care. She referred to you as the nice lad from Rideau Ferry. Enjoyed the time we shared. Thought of you guys a lot over the past couple of years, especially on all of our shared Feb. 10th Birthdays! Rest In Peace Denise.

Remembering my Aunt Denise with great fondness and love.
I always looked forward to our visits. Her showing up in one of her many Honda Civics, hair puffed up, huge smile with perfectly place glasses…”hey Day, hope in, let’s blow this pop stand!” ‘Day’ was my nickname to her, I think she had nicknames for everyone…We would drive and talk about everything, always getting to the ‘meat’ of issues and not the frivolous day-to-day topics that so many worry about.
She appreciated my humour and her notorious, infectious laugh was the reward. Always inquisitive and listening. My opinion mattered & I felt like we were solving the worlds problems in an hour commute to Ottawa!
I thought of her as an academic and found her love for learning and self betterment admirable. She followed her path and as a result left a path for others to follow, she made this world a better place.
Later in life I moved out west and our time together was limited. Even then she would always make time for my visits and pick up the conversation like no time had passed.
I will never forget her and always love her. May your soul soar and your body rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Denise's family, I cannot imagine how much of an impact her passing will have on all of you,she was a very authentic individual.
I went to high school with Denise way back in the 60's early 70's. I was from the French Line so didn't fit in very well at school ,and tried to avoided the place as much as possible, Denise was one of the few people that actually took time to talk to me, her sense of humour and that absolutely contagious laugh made the days I did attend classes that much more bearable.
May she rest in peace.

Remembering Denise's wit and wicked sense of humour. She had such a kind heart and was definitely one of those people who brightened the lives of many people especially in her tireless work with youth in care. Glad her loving spirit is free to soar once more. It was a blessing to know her.
