Ruth was a wonderful teacher. She taught me at Drummond #17 school, Innisville, the years 1946 and 1947. I also remember being invited to her parents home in Prestonvale during the winter months. We arrived on a horse drawn sleigh, complete with bells on the horses, travelling across country, driven my Mr. Oliver Dowdall. We were met with wonderful smells of baked beans, hot dogs, etc. what a wonderful memory. Ruth loved the children she taught, with care and compassion. She was my favorite.
