Obituary of Valerie Marie Brohman
The family of Valerie Brohman are devastated to announce her sudden passing on June 26, 2024 at the age of 68 years. Valerie was the beloved wife of John Brohman, a devoted mother to Jeff (Meghan), Katie, Kristy (Kate), and Kelly (Amanda), and an adoring grandmother to Elle, Ethen, and Londyn. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Elaine, Fred (Betty), Charlie (Lorraine), and Gerry (Evelyn), as well as by her in-laws Carole (John), Diane (Alain), Jim (Karen), Sandy (Chris), Joanne (Mike), Wayne (Nancy), Barbara (Al), Pat (Bryne), Karen (Pierre), Kim, Nancy (John), Jack Hack, Larry Knight, and Sandy Heron. Valerie is also fondly remembered and much missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Schuett, her siblings Janyse, Frank, Michael, Edward, and Betty. Valerie was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League for 20 years and heavily involved with her church and community, she has spent her entire life caring for others in one capacity or another. For over 50 years she worked with seniors in healthcare, including over 30 years as an RPN. She has touched many lives with goodness and love and she will be missed more deeply than words can convey. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls (112 Beckwith St N) on Wednesday July 3, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church (17 Elmsley Street North) on Thursday July 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. A reception celebrating her life will be held at Hanley Hall following Mass. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis de Sales Building Fund, or to the Smiths Falls Food Bank.
