It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Father, Lawrence Alfred Palmer.  On the morning of July 14th, 2024, Lawrence Alfred Palmer left this earthly life and began his journey to the next, finding peace in the realm of God Almighty.

Lawrence leaves behind a legacy of love and countless cherished memories. He deeply loved his children (David, Gordon, Stephen, Alan), his grandchildren (Dylan, Natasha, Amanda, Mitchell, Memphis), and his great-grandchildren (Gracie-Mae, Madalyn-Jade, Brooklin-Hope, Lillie-Eve, Emilia). He held a special place in his heart for his siblings (Mildred, Hilda and Audrey) and their families. As well as Joan's siblings (Betty, Doris, Glenna, Cheryl, Steven, Merle, Brian, Rae) and their spouses and children.

Lawrence was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage and a lifetime of adventures. Their bond was a source of great joy and strength for him. He often expressed immense gratitude for her unwavering love and support.

Lawrence's life was marked by his dedication to others. He was involved in Scouts Canada for over 50 years, was a member of the Radio Amateurs of Canada, the Federal Superannuates of Canada, and the Royal Canadian Legion. He was known as a hard worker, always willing to help others and lived an honest life.

Professionally, Lawrence served in the Canadian Armed Forces, worked at the Herzing Institute, the Ottawa School Board, the Brockville School Board, and OMYA Canada. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in all he did.

In his leisure time, Lawrence enjoyed photography, painting, woodworking, tinkering with electronics, scuba diving, downhill skiing, scouting, camping, archery, and canoeing. He especially loved spending time with Joan in Waikiki and the many places they traveled to post-retirement.

God bless and Godspeed on your journey, Lawrence. You are loved dearly.
