To Bev and Family Please accept my condolences on the passing of Dorthy, she was an incredible lady and her zest for life was remarkable for a lady her age, I will cherish the times I had to taxi her to the Day Program, she would often comment on the 'big houses' and the 'beautiful trees' and with such enthusiasm as to leave one envious. my recollection Two things I remember. I took dance classes with her which fostered a life long love. I especially liked the tap, of course and the Irish/Scottish folk dancing. I remember her column in the Record News or as we liked to call it The Reckless News or The Newsless Record. Probably on an unconscious level it influenced me to travel the world. The song, Is that all there is?, was always my theme song for Smiths Falls. My condolences to Lee and family who I saw many years ago after waking up to his voice on NPR, here in Long Beach CA. Whoever said that we lost an icon, was spot on!

Memories:) I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to have met and worked with Dorothy during the Miss Smiths Falls pageant 1987. Dorothy was called in to help us girls with the dance section of the pageant . She was always very pleasant, upbeat and extremely patient with those of us who had no formal dance instruction ;). Thanks Dorothy for your passion for life !! Til we meet again, Sherry ( Miss S.F 1987/ Miss E.O. 1987)

Dorthy "The Dance Instructor" Dorthy taught me ballet when I was very young. I will never forget how patient she was with all the girls and what an impression she made on me then. Dorthy was also very good friends with my late parents Sam and Lauretta Cuthbertson. I have fond memories of Dorthy coming to our house on Christmas Eve for many years. Dorthy was a real "lady" in every sense of the word.
