DOROTHY INZA (Nee SMITH)
(Dec. 2, 1912 - July 24, 2012)
Peacefully in her 100th year with her family by her side. Predeceased by her Father James Levi Smith, Mother Ella Mae (Nee Wood) and son Jay Hitchins (Fran).
Dorothy will be greatly missed by oldest son Lee Hitchins (Barbara). Grandchildren: Beverley Hitchins, Jodi Drummond (Jason), Chad Hitchins(Leslie), Joey Hitchins (Daryl Lisa), Kyana Hitchins & Adam Cousins. Great Grandchildren: Nick & Josh Hameluck, Liam McGinnis-Hitchins, Morgan McNeely, Cassidy & Luke Drummond, Dylan Spencer, Eydn Hitchins, Calder & Holden Hitchins, the Wood and McGuire families. A CELEBRATION of Dorothy's Life will take place on Dec. 2nd, 2012 from 2pm - 4 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion (Smiths Falls/Br95). Please bring your favorite stories of DOROTHY. Smith's Florist Shop, Dorothy's Dance Studio, Far Away Places Column in the Record News, Dorothy's Tour's & Travels, SFDCI, Theatre, New York, Dancing, Music and many other stories will be shared. Dorothy was also the first female broadcaster on CJET Radio here in Smiths Falls working with Rich Little. Please contact Bev Hitchins with pictures and memories you would like to add. 613-284-8446.
